RedWhite United

History of RedWhite United

RedWhite United were formed on the 15th of March 2010, making them the oldest PMC in FS today that are still active which is a fact they are proud of. Originally formed by Shark the team consisted of Shark, Buaza, Azarkan, Mikey, Erasor, Simken and Razza. The goal was simple, play creative attacking flowing football, a goal and motto that RWU stand by to this day.

In their first ever game as a PMC they lost to Vermillion FC 2-5 in a 5-a-side. They finally picked up their first win in their fourth game vs. Total Football Club on the 19th of March 2010 winning 6-3. Unfortunately they were to lose their first 7-a-side vs. the same opponents.

It did take RedWhite United a while to get going as a club, but due to the loyalty of the core team at the time they were improving and learning every game they played, eventually going on an 11 game win streak in April. By this time RedWhite United were starting to take on all opponents and whether it was a win or loss people started to take notice. Then on the 24th of April 2011 RWU competed in their first 11-a-side losing to the highly experienced Vermillion Football Club.

Once again after going through months of wins and losses, RWU created a smaller team (RedWhite United B) to be used as a development team for upcoming players, these had relative success with a few making it into the first team. RWUB however finished when RWU finished in 2011.

Back into 2010 and June proved to be a fine month for RedWhite as they tasted their first win in a tournament as they were crowned champions of the Fighter Cup beating FC Nemean Lions in the final 0-7, Mikeyx3, Razzax3 and Shark scored the goals, during that time the trio would become a legendary attacking unit and to this day used as a benchmark for current RedWhite United attacking teams.

In 2011 a lot changed for RedWhite, on the brink of closure before they merged with SG Eintracht and the likes of Wobbles, Ceyco, Fjoertoft moved into the RWU ranks, and once again RedWhite United started to become a unit in the FS World. This was until the end of 2011 when a bad run of form left RedWhite United in disarray and after a team meeting RWU disbanded with their last game being a 3-2 loss to Atletico Castilla FC.

Fast forward to 2014, Razza and Shark decided to bring RedWhite United back, it bought much excitement and speculation into FS for the first few weeks leading up to the revival and on the 6th of June 2014 RedWhite United were back. Razza, Shark, Mikey and Kasilva all returned. Their first game was against Wrath in which RedWhite United looked like they never disappeared, taking them apart 1-4 and Razza getting man of the match.

RedWhite played a number of games during their return seeing mixed fortune but more good than bad and recruited some top talents such as Indomy, Nolove and Emzeey. Their ML2 campaign left alot to be desired however as RWU finished bottom of their group with only 1 win, but alot was learned from this experience going forward.

RedWhite United began to improve as a team and with more quality recruitments such as Losandro, Leoneyster and Wright went onto win The OL III 2015 winning 14 out of 14 games aswell as the OL Summer 2015 thanks to a last minute game that was scheduled before the competiton closed.

2015 also saw RedWhite have a much better ML3, finishing top of their group before getting knocked out of the Quarter finals. 9-10 on aggregate and almost overturning a 4 goal defecit from the first leg. RWU during this tournament were considered the best in FS with Losandro, Razza and Mikey spearheading an exciting team. At the end of 2015 saw a new tournament begin called the Ultimate League that stretched into 2016, RWU saw great success in this finishing 3rd overall and beating Roc twice 3-2 in the knock out stage.

As 2016 progress RedWhite went from strength to strength picking up wins against some of the best in Angels Sc, Devils FC, Outlaws Sc and Cowboys Fc, RWU really were among the elite in FS now, they once again entered the Masters League (ML4) and after finishing as the only team to win every group game they were knocked out in the Quarters again by 1 goal. This didn't stop them however as they went on into the UL2 and came 2nd after a fanastic league campaign.

One of the personal highlights for all RWU fans and anyone associated with this PMC in 2016 was a friendly match played vs. Crystal Phallus. As the original attacking trio (Shark, Razza, Mikey) came together for the first time since the start of 2011 any sign of rust between the three was not noticed as they all got on the scoresheet to put 5 away against their opponents.

At the start of 2017 RedWhite United did begin to quieten down a little after their UL2 campaign, playing the odd game from time to time, still picking up solid wins against all opponents and recruiting some new players to try and up the competition for places. When the ML5 arrived RWU were prepared. In 10 games they won 8 and only lost 2, those 2 losses were to the finalists and the only two teams to finish above them as RedWhite United had their best Masters League campaign to date. Reaching the Semi-Finals and finishing 3rd overall. Following a successful ML Campaign, The Ultimate League 3 was soon upon RedWhite, it was a very mixed campaign, despite a 3rd placed finish overall (once again) RWU felt it was their worst campaign to date as despite winning almost all of their games, the games they lost were very heavy defeats to the teams they felt they were on par with and have beaten before.

2018 soon rolled around and the changes for RWU came thick and fast, after a period of uncertainty RedWhite United had a very strong team entering the ML6 and they proved themselves as they walked through their group along with Devils FC before meeting Vampire Sc in the Quarter Finals and blowing them away 6-1 over 2 legs. Following that was Angels Sc and after a 3-3 first leg, RedWhite United went on to win the second 4-2 to reach their first ever Major Final, unfortunately the fairytale ending wasn't meant to be this time as they were soundly beaten 3-0 by Devils FC. After a few changes again, RWU geared up for the UL4, this turned out to be a disappointing campaign, after expectations were increased after the ML final, Losing their first game to newcomers Purple Reign, RWU managed to finish off the league stage strongly enough but were beaten over 2 legs by Vampire Sc 5-4 and knocked out of the Quarter-Finals for the first time in 3 years.

The year wasn't going to end in disappointment however, with the creation of a new major tournament - The Golden League. This competition was designed to put all teams on a level playing field, there were 19 teams that signed up. A couple of inspiring additions helped RWU on the road the GL1 Glory, Only losing once in the entirety of the tournament, RedWhite faced Adrenaline in the final (RWU's second in three) and despite the match needing a replay RedWhite United ran out convincing winners in the second game 4-1 and lifted their first ever major tournament trophy. With all PMC major's now finished for this year, 2019 promises to be another Red and White year.
